Solomon Burke’s music isn’t traditional Lindy fayre but one of my favourite dance clips is of Carla Heiney dancing to ‘Cry to me’. The clip is full of simple but controlled variations that fit the music beautifully. |

Event Review: ULHS/New Orleans Swing Dance FestivalOctober 05, 2010I had a blast at the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown/New Orleans Swing Dance Festival. Usually when I go to an event, I participate in many of the competitions, but I was glad I didn’t this weekend. I think Showdown has changed from the Minneapolis days and been absorbed into New Orleans. |
